Student induction week or student orientation week is a week-long event conducted at the beginning of the academic journey at DY Patil School of Architecture. It is an introduction to the organization which they will be calling their home for the coming years. During this week, a variety of events are organized to orient and welcome new students into the B.Arch course at DYPSOA. Although usually described as a week, the length of this period varies from batch to batch, ranging from about three days to a week or even more.
During this period, students participate in a wide range of social activities, including workshops and exercises of art and craft, live music and other performances, sports challenges and many more. The program also includes addresses by our respected Principal, Academic Coordinator and Studio Directors highlighting various parameters such as the code of conduct to be maintained by the students, the grading system and teaching pattern, and the introduction of the teaching faculty along followed by a tour of the facilities and resources provided by the college.
